Nova Health Provider Profile
“I enjoy compassionate care and utilizing my training and skills to help people recover from injury and maintain healthy living.”
Molly Emberlin PA-C, M.S.
In her role as a certified physician assistant, Molly Emberlin provides follow up care to urgent care patients in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic musculoskeletal injuries. She also manages conditions and the causes of pain as well as performs joint and ligament-related treatments. “I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after participating in multiple sports in high school and college, which lead to injuries. I enjoyed studying the human body and how to manage and treat those injuries.”
Thanks to her knowledge of anatomy and expertise in orthopedics, Molly helps her patients to reduce pain and discomfort through preventive and curative care. She brings Nova Health a specialty in non-surgical orthopedics with a dedicated focus on sports medicine, injections, non-surgical fracture management, and arthritis.
While studying Science and Biology as an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, Molly earned honors by performing cadaver dissection and completed an undergraduate Thesis. Molly graduated from the University of Oregon with honors and went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2005 with a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. During her time in the master’s program, she completed a master’s thesis on Learning Medical Science with “Styles” and a Guide to Pathology. She also attended cadaver training courses while in Arizona.
Molly began her professional career working at The Portland Clinic in urgent care and orthopedics. She then moved to Eugene and worked at Slocum Orthopedics, where her experience fostered her passion and innate excellence in the area of musculoskeletal care. During this time, Molly worked in clinical practice and first assisted with surgeries such as open reduction and fixation of fractures, total knee and hip arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgeries of knee and shoulders including rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstruction, and meniscectomies. With experience in both the hospital, urgent care, and clinic settings, she has seen and treated various joint-related injuries and chronic conditions and has earned the repeated trust of her long-standing patients. “I strive to make medicine and recovery something my patients will understand. As a medical provider, I believe it is our duty to bring our patients confidence in their recovery and make sure they fully understand the treatment process.”
A doctrine that Molly continually promotes is that of patience. “I see patients continually attempting to rush back to health. Sometimes we all need to listen to our bodies and the medical experts to ensure quality recovery”. She also knows what it means to train the body to excellence. Molly ran the Boson Marathon and was Miss Fitness Oregon. When not at work, Molly enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, working out, running, doing creative projects, time with her friends and family, and cheering on the Oregon Ducks.
